Tuning Down...

...it appears this weekend did all go to plan as it was amazing! Beginning with a 6 hour drive to Manchester due to heavy traffic and the local directions but it was all good when we arrived in Truro Drive at my nana's house. Saturday consisted of chinese buffet and the Old Wellington with the Greene family. Then lots of Forza followed by a lovely deer ale at the Swan with Two Nicks (one of my favorites pubs) Sunday was the build-up day finishing with one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Radiohead.

I've wanted to see Radiohead for a long time and last night lived up to all my expectations. The setlist was amazing, it being:
15 Step
Airbag
There There
All I Need
NudeArpeggi
The Gloaming
The National Anthem
Faust Arp
No Surprises
Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Reckoner
Just
Bangers ‘n Mash
Everything In Its Right Place
Fake Plastic Trees
Bodysnatchers

Encore 1
Videotape
Paranoid Android
Myxomatosis
Optimistic
Karma Police

Encore 2
Pyramid Song
2+2=5
Idioteque

Encore 3
Lucky

I really can't wait till summer begins. Going up to St. Catherine's Hill tomorrow as we have the day off on Wednesday. Should be sweet.

How To Disappear Completely...

...if all goes to plan this weekend should be amazing!

Tomorrow I leave for Manchester to spend time seeing my family and to see Radiohead on Sunday. I think that Radiohead is going to be amazing. Possibly the best gig I've ever seen. I've wanted to see Radiohead for years and with the release of In Rainbows, I can't think of a better time. I think the 4 minutes and 11 seconds of Everything In Its Right Place will be the best ever.

College has been pretty sweet this week, when not in lessons just been on the field all day listening to tunes in the sun. Beauty.

Links: What a n00b.

And again.

Actually crazy. And I thought I was alright at climbing trees.

See you next Tuesday, people of the internet.

For my 100th post....

[Click to largen]
...I bring you Symonds today at around half 11.

Me and Ant just lounging on the PS mound, warming up for our round of burgers. Spent most of the day sitting on the grass in the sun, listening to music. Lets hope every day can be like that this summer.

Never Meant...

PostSecret's still got it. Every time I lose faith in it, it goes and suprises me.

Also worth checking out is: XKCD's newest. One of the funniest I've seen so far.

12 year old's take on the environment back in 1992. I wonder how long she could go on for today.

What a catch! Howzat!

Lights...

...I think could easily forgive Lights for creating mediocre, Imogen Heap influenced music that sends young American girls into a frenzy with her heartfelt lyrics about boys and US teenage lifestyle because she looks like that!

I think I have actually found the epitomy of my type of girl. If only she made good music. And wanted to touch me.

Here He Bloody Is!...

...So the Railway was sweet. Thank you to everyone that came down, much appreciated. Nearly had another ridiculous episode with ID like last time. This time, luckily, Jo Peploe was there to be an adult that they actually listen to as apparently teenagers can't speak for themselves and whatever they say dosen't matter. The set went well though and its a nice change playing a venue where we can all hear ourselves perfectly. Missed Canterbury though, which sucks, as the bar manager was the biggest knobjockey I've ever met in my life. It was like he was on some major power trip because he could tell people to get out. I think it just makes him feel superior telling adolescents to leave the premises. Sorry Matt but I didn't hear much of run, WALK! as I was fretting about trying to get people in but I heard like 2 songs and they were sweet. Me and Tom Langley were in awe of your bass skills.

Played footy up at the Arbour for a while which was good. Scored a beaut, haha, yerrrr right. Happy Birthday to Venus [as if he reads this, or remembers me saying it on the night] but I hope your face is okay.

It's good to see Jordan's picking up Halo as well, it's always good to have someone new to play with and not have to leave them after two games because their just that bad.

Watched the most brutal film as well in Film Studs on Tuesday which is where the photo above comes from. 'Un Chien Andalou' by Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali. It was made it 1928 and to be honest, even with today's films like Hostel and Saw. That one scene of about 3 seconds is the scariest fucking thing I've ever seen on film. About two seconds after the picture [above] a man takes a cut throat razor and slits her eye in half. In full view of the camera. I actually screamed pretty loud. Serious. CEO.

Hopefully this three week section of A2 will go quickly so summer can get well and truly under way.

PS. Jordan, if I'm on mate, I'll send you an invite or ring you to tell you to come play. Most likely will be soon as well. Congratulations for finishing all your exams as well mate. Infact, kudos to everyone for finishing all their exams.

Harriet...

For post #95, I bring you Miss Harriet Victoria Barnard.

She asked me to write a blog entry about her and seeming as she is such a avid reader she deserves one without asking!

Harriet [or Hattie] is a 17 year old girl from Chilbolton, Hampshire. She was born on the 17th November 1990 in Winchester Hospital. She has lived in Chilbolton all her life in a house called Vine Cottage [I think] She has two sisters and a brother. She drives a black Renault Clio Extreme and is apparently very good at it. She is best friends with Ashton Clark & Charlotte Dunne [and has been for a very long time] She goes to Peter Symonds College in Winchester and I have absolutely no idea what she studies.

Hattie is an amazing person who makes me smile every time I see her. She also buys me Hot Chocolate's aswell which is always a bonus :) I think if everyone knew Hattie the world would be alot happier.

PS. Don't forget Canterbury, Bright White Light, run, WALK! and Treehouse Casino tomorrow night at the Railway in Winch. Going to be a fucking sick show. 8 oclock, £4, 16+.
Flyer will follow in separate post.

Morals...

[Click to largen]

I see no reason why this comic should be taken as humour. It is as poignant a piece of art as an incredible piece of music, an original oil painting or a beautiful ballet.

The world is ours to witness. I think too many people spend their lives of routine, taking no notice of anything around them. Take a moment, that's all.

I'm just happy that someone's turned to their eskimo friend.

Poppin...

That last ones brutal.

Thank 'god' for the internet. (I mean that in the non-ridiculous sense of God)

Neglect...

...of the blog is not good whatsoever. I'm just so tired and fed-up when I don't really know why.

Sometimes I love living where I do as I think it keeps me sane. I have that place to retreat to and enjoy away from the life of Basingstoke/Winchester/rushing/town/memorial/college etc. I think if I didn't have Lillywhite I'd be ringing my crack dealer right now instead of writing this blog.

I was reading an article earlier about when you try to remember something and it feels like its on the 'tip of your tongue' apparently you shouldn't try to remember it from the depths of your brain like everyone does until it really annoys you because you can't think of something you already. I had one the other day where I couldn't remember Tim Robbins' surname and it was pissing me off all day. I read the whole article to find out that it didn't give you an alternative method to find out what your trying to remember. Then that pissed me off. I thought I was going to discover some secret method of the gods to remember things and I got nothing but some science and an example from Seinfeld.

I woke up at 2 o'clock today. I hate waking up that late. It feels like you waste so much of the day. To be honest, I did need a good sleep but I didn't want to wake up and basically go back to work again. So to cheer myself up I made a lush bacon sandwich. I really think I should open a shop that just sells my bacon sandwiches because they are the best in the whole world. I could call it 'Benjamin's Bacon Bar' and it could sell tea, coffee, papers, free Wi-Fi (like Starbucks) and little cakes and flapjacks. I would have different types of bread aswell like Subway: Tiger bread (my favorite), white, wholemeal, baguette etc. The seats would all be big leather sofa for everyone to munch down on their B sandwiches on. I think I should anyway.

But the one thing that I really think I need to do is stop thinking these stupid things because they'll never happen. I'll grow up, become a lemming in some corporate business office building, marry someone adequate and have kids that I'll hate because they'll remind me of myself. You heard it here first at Everything In Its Right Place.

'Wake up, this is the real world, dreamer.'

4 Days!...

...4 Days! That's how long I just spent in Basingstoke. I think thats way too many days, its not good for my soul. Walking back into Lillywhite today was just the best thing, couldn't believe I'd finally returned.

Basingstoke was good while it lasted, epscially Sleepers, War Memorial and Phils. Things have changed but there still not perfect. But then who can have everything perfect. This weekend's going to be hectic aswell: Work (tonight and tomorrow) then Basingstoke again to go to Erin's house :) then band practice the next day. I am going to be one sleepy, little boy.

This site was brought to my attention by Mr Anthony Walker. It lets you upload and create your own mixtapes to share and put up for sale. Here's Anthony's and I am yet to make one.

This is a brilliant idea along the same lines of Sleeveface. Manbabies. It's where you take a picture of and father and his baby/toddler and (using Photoshop) switch their heads around. Some of them are really well done and look hilarious.

Microsoft have unveiled a Google Earth type site for space. It's called Microsoft's Worldwide Telescope, as that's what it essentially is. My favorite part is the music when the page loads up. Awe Inspiring.

This wall painting stop motion video has been around for a bit by wall painter artist MUTO from Buenos Aires. But it's still incredible. So much time and dedication. The results appear to be worth it.

Enjoy your weekend people and I'll see you again Basingstoke....tomorrow.

Evil Mario...

I believe he was called Wario. But anyway, this is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen and if he is being serious, I worry for the human race.

GTA in Real Life

The Evolution Of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider 1 from way back in 1996 to Tomb Raider Underworld released earlier this year.

Cheers Digg.

GTA IV...

This flickr user has uploaded a NYC/Liberty City comparison photo album containing many of the famous sightseeing locations. Incredible how a video game can recreate a city to such a high density of detail. Can you imagine them trying to do that 10 years ago. Even 5 years ago they'd struggle alot

Consistency...

Today consisted of waking up very hungover at 8 in the morning, getting myself some Alka Seltzer and returning to sleep until 2.

Last night was strange. Turned up at Oli's house thinking it was going to be all us lot and it was his uncle's 42nd birthday. Everyone was staring at us and we felt abit out of place. But then everyone got drunk and it was all fine. Turned out pretty good in the end and it was nice to see Oli, Charlotte and.....Hattie! again.

Went and had pizza in Town Park today as well with Jenny, Hannah and Alice which was really good because it's means I've seen more people from college than I'd expected to this half term. Involved barbeque base, tandoori chicken, massive Dr Pepper, drunk guy (again) and David's.

I have to go in to college sometimes during this half term for rehearsals. How dryyyy. Should be alright I suppose. Get to dance around for 2 hours and then go home. Fair Enough.

Played lots of Halo today. Including some games with Jordan. He did alright didn't you Jordan. Made a video and put it on my file share of me getting two beauty no scopes and then a stick one after the other. And Charlesworth wouldn't believe I did it.

I really don't know who reads all this stuff. I wish I could find out all the people that read my blog that I don't know about. That would be weird, if someone completely random read it every day. I'd like to meet them. I think I'd like to meet a lot of new people but I think that's only so I can convince myself I'm not part of the same scene anymore. When in reality I think I'd miss it. I think I already do.

By the way, to the person for which this concerns. I wasn't busy tonight. I'm never too busy.

Links: If you like Halo. You should find this mildly amusing.
